Minimum Time Frame for Hiring
Atlantic Private Care Services
offers live-in care in two-week increments.
- Minimum
engagement: One week (ideal for post-hospital
recovery)
- Typical duration: Many clients choose long-term placements lasting months or years
️Sleeping Arrangements
A private bedroom must be provided
for the home health aide.
- Required
furnishings: Bed, nightstand, dresser
- Private
bathroom: Not required
- Note: Home surveillance is not permitted in the aide’s room
Food & Personal Items
Clients or their families are
responsible for providing daily meals.
- Include: Proteins,
starches, fruits, vegetables
- Aides manage
their own ethnic/specialty dietary needs
- Personal items are supplied by the aide
Daily Work Schedule
Aides typically engage with clients
for up to 14 hours per day.
- Schedule is
based on client needs and preferences
- Aides must
receive:
- 5 uninterrupted hours of sleep
- Meal and rest breaks
Time Off & Emergencies
If an aide needs time off, Atlantic
Private Care will assign a replacement.
- Clients must
have an emergency contact/support system
- In urgent cases (e.g., illness, family emergency), hourly aides may be dispatched to ensure supervision
Interviewing Your Aide
Yes, interviews are available!
- Video
interviews: Complimentary
- In-person interviews: Small fee applies (covers aide’s time and travel)
Transportation to Appointments
Aides may drive clients in the
client’s vehicle only.
- Client
vehicles only: Aides cannot use their personal
cars for transport
- Required: Proof
of registration, inspection, and insurance
- Tip: Request an approved driver during your consultation
